Independent publisher notice

ElevaHome Hub (elevahomehub.site) is published independently. It has no connection whatever to Amazon.com, Inc. — no affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, authorization or commercial arrangement — and none to any other manufacturer, retailer or service provider. Trademarks named on these pages remain the property of whoever owns them, and appear only to identify the products under discussion.

Everything here is written reference material. There is no telephone line, nobody staffing a conversation, no remote assistance, no diagnostic service, no account recovery and no repair facility — and no reader is ever asked for a credential, a password or a payment detail. The assistant in the corner of the page is an automated index of this site: it points at pages, it holds no conversation with a person, and it cannot look at your device. Anything genuinely wrong with a device you own is a matter for its manufacturer, or the shop that sold it to you.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Priyadarshini Behera ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with elevahomehub.site ("the Site").

The short version

Nothing here asks you to register, nothing is for sale, and no form enquires who you are. The Site hands over written pages. Behind that, the hosting keeps the same routine technical notes every web server keeps, and analytics reports, in the aggregate, which pages readers spend time on. There is not much more to it than that.

Personal information is not sold from here, and no reader has ever been asked for a password.

What we never collect

Placed at the top because it is the part worth knowing. Nothing in the following table is gathered, requested, stored or processed by us at any time:

Category Collected?
Sign-in names, email addresses or passwords for any service Never
Verification codes, one-time passcodes, recovery codes Never
Wi-Fi names, Wi-Fi passwords, router administration logins Never
Device serial numbers, registration data, account identifiers Never
Card numbers, bank details, financial account data Never
Government identification numbers Never
Access to any device you own Never

There is no form anywhere on this Site that asks for an item in that table, and nothing sent by us will ever ask for one either.

What we do process

Things you send us. If you email us — a correction, a legal question, a privacy request — we receive your message, your email address, and whatever you chose to include, and use it to consider and where appropriate answer your message.

The search assistant. The automated assistant on our pages is supplied by an outside website tool. It sets its own cookies so that it can function and remember a session, and whatever you type into it passes through that provider's systems, where it may be retained under that provider's own policy and retention schedule. It is an automated site search rather than a conversation with a person, and it performs no support function. Passwords, one-time codes, Wi-Fi credentials, card numbers and account details should never be typed into it; we have no use for them, and anything of that kind reaching us is deleted.

Things noted automatically. When a page is requested, the hosting and analytics layers note a narrow set of technical details: an IP address, generally shortened or stripped of identifiers before storage; the browser, operating system and category of device; which pages were opened and for how long; where the visit arrived from; and the time it happened. Those notes are read only in bulk, to see which pages earn their place and to keep the Site secure. No attempt is made to work out who an individual reader is, and no profiles are assembled.

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies keep the Site functioning and secure and remember your consent choices; these are required for the Site to work. Analytics cookies measure traffic in aggregate. Advertising cookies are used by third-party networks for delivery, frequency capping and measurement. The latter two require consent where the law requires it, and you can change your choices at any time through the consent interface.

Browsers all provide their own controls too, under privacy settings, for refusing cookies, confining them to the first party, or clearing them out. Refusing the analytics and advertising kinds costs you access to nothing on this Site.

Third parties

We use a small number of providers, each under its own privacy policy: a web host and content delivery network (IP addresses and request metadata), an analytics provider (anonymised identifiers and page events), advertising networks (cookie identifiers and interaction data), and email infrastructure (your address and message, if you write).

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share correspondence with advertisers.

Where advertising is personalized, it is the networks doing it, drawing on cookies set during earlier visits here and elsewhere. Those networks operate their own preference controls, and most regions additionally host an industry-wide opt-out portal.

Activity Basis relied on
Delivering the Site and defending it against abuse Legitimate interests
Measuring traffic Consent where the law demands it; legitimate interests otherwise
Advertising cookies Consent
Answering a message you chose to send Legitimate interests
Keeping records the law obliges us to keep Legal obligation

Retention

Data How long it stays
Server logs Weeks, not years, after which they are deleted or stripped of identifiers
Aggregate analytics Retained in aggregate form so trends over time remain visible
Email we receive Only until the matter it concerns is dealt with
Consent records For as long as we may need to demonstrate that consent was given

Your rights

Under India's DPDP Act, 2023. Access a summary of the personal data we process about you and what we do with it; have inaccurate, incomplete or unnecessary data corrected or erased; raise a grievance with us directly; nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity; and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if a grievance is not resolved satisfactorily.

Under UK/EU GDPR. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, withdrawal of consent at any time, and the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.

If you live in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law

Around twenty states now have one — California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland and others. They differ in the detail but converge on the same set of rights: to know what is collected and why, to obtain a copy, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to opt out of targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of them.

About "sale" and "sharing". We take no payment for personal information and we operate no data broking. But California law defines "sharing" to cover making personal information available to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not money changes hands, and the advertising cookies described above can fall inside that definition. Rather than lean on a technicality, we treat the advertising on this site as "sharing" and give you a straightforward way to switch it off.

Sensitive personal information. We do not collect any, so there is nothing to limit.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Two routes. Either one is enough, and you do not need to do both.

Use the consent controls on this site. Decline advertising cookies through the consent interface. That suppresses the advertising tags for your browser.

Or switch on a Global Privacy Control signal. GPC is a browser-level preference, available natively in some browsers and through extensions in others. We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing, and it takes effect without you filling in a form or clicking anything further. If GPC is on, it applies even where a consent banner would otherwise have allowed advertising tags.

If you would prefer to make the request in writing, write to the address below and we will apply it.

Making a request. Write to privacy@elevahomehub.site. We respond within the period the applicable law requires, and may need to verify your identity first, asking for the minimum needed to do so.

Children

This Site is written for a general adult audience, is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to privacy@elevahomehub.site and it will be deleted.

International transfers

Processing by our providers may happen in countries other than yours — India, the United States and the European Union among them. For personal data originating in the UK or the EEA, transfers rest on the safeguards applicable law recognizes for the purpose.

Security

Sensible technical and organizational precautions are in place: connections are encrypted, software is kept current, and administrative access is held to a few hands. No means of sending or storing data is flawless, and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise. What limits the damage any incident could do is that there are no credentials and no payment records here to lose in the first place — an outcome that was chosen rather than stumbled upon.
